Let's talk about lab prices

True story . . . One of our members went to the lab to get his bloodwork done yesterday and there was a little confusion about who was financially responsible for the labs. The lab wanted to charge this patient $300 as a cash paying patient for 6 labs tests. The patient reached out to us as he did not expect the bill to be this high.

We immediately contacted the lab to explain the lab was to be billed to our office instead, which brought his grand total down to . . . . $25!?!

How is this possible? I simply do not understand. All I know is we are saving our patients hundreds even thousands of dollars every year on their lab costs alone.

How many people don't get their lab work done because of fear of the unknown? The results can be scary enough, we don't need to add unknown cost to this problem as well.

This lab work could possibly save lives, yet our healthcare system keeps patients from getting these simple tests done everyday.

If you went to Starbucks, and there were not prices on the menu, would you still place an order? Most would simply walk out, and unfortunately this is happening to people everyday when it relates to health care, which is putting their lives in jeopardy.

If you have been avoiding your lab work or health care in general for fear of the unknown, call us today! We will give you up front costs and remove the anxiety from your health and wellness.
