We take patients with insurance too!

As many of you know, we don't accept insurance here at Impact Family Wellness, but that doesn't mean we don't take care of people that have insurance. In fact, as much as we disagree with how insurance companies work sometimes, we want our patients to have at least some form of catastrophic insurance if at all possible (we can help with that too!).

We manage all of your primary and urgent care needs, which is typically 80% of your health care needs. However, if you fall off the roof, break your leg, and need surgery, we can't fix that.  This is where your insurance comes in to take care of those catastrophic events.

Many people will go to our website and see that we don't accept their Cigna or BCBS plan and therefore think they cannot come to us. This couldn't be farther from the truth. Members choose to come to us because we treat them like humans and spend the time they need to truly understand their health and wellness needs. We can still use your insurance to do imaging, labs, or referrals. However, we simply are not going to use your insurance to bill for our services, as it limits what we can do while allowing us to keep our prices affordable. We also do not want your insurance to dictate the care we desire to provide to you in the office based off of their restrictive guidelines.

Ever wonder why your provider makes you come in to treat your pink eye? It's because your insurance will not pay with without appropriate documentation. Need to review your labs, which could be done with a simple phone call, but instead you have to take off work again to go for a 5 minute office visit after you wait for 20 minutes in the waiting room . . . sound familiar? This isn't because your provider is a jerk, it's due to restrictions from insurance companies.

We have a decent amount of uninsured patients but have a large percentage of members that have health shares, high-deductible plans, or other catastrophic coverage. We offer a significant value to those families that have deductibles upwards of $5K. Most families will never meet that deductible, unless something terrible happens. We are here to remove that "mom guilt" for the everyday ear infection or strep test.

Bottom line, if you have insurance, you can still get fantastic care at Impact Family Wellness. Call us with any questions or schedule a free meet and greet today find out just how amazing care can be!
